Roman Ondák: Measuring the Universe

I briefly mentioned this exhibition I saw at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2009 in the meeting last week. It relates to Tegan's idea of including all the names of the design students in the exhibition space somehow. In this piece installed in at the MOMA, Roman Ondak has invited museum-goers to record their own height in the space of a four-walled room. What results is a really interesting pattern created over time, working with that traditional practice of recording a child's height on a door frame. Could we think of someway to work with recording a feature of each design student? To have their mark on the space somewhere other than just in their work?

I feel like we could brand this show in a really personal way, which works with the idea of handmade/handwritten text. This is our show, the student's show, after all and the work we've created is very personal in that it is evidence of an intense, four-year journey.
