Last reference for the day - also my WeMadeThis I think....

It's a little obvious the whole light bulb/bright spark thing BUT - the photographic approach is interesting and something a couple of people have said they wanted to explore as an option?

These are simply photograms of a light bulb I believe and I think it works really well - the Ident is for a bar/cafe space but it translates across anyway. What is so nice is the way the image speaks back to the way the typography mimics the layout of text on a lightbulb. Clever buggers.

I think were we to use photography there would really have to be a relationship between image and typographic approach or ident as a whole etc...

Museum of Everything

References for Hand Drawn Signage... This goes against my little spiel about fitting into the style of the building before but I thought it was cool...

Another cool reference that this reminded me of was The Ministry of Stories in London also - it was done by the guys at WeMadeThis - silly (i love this kind of shit) - but well executed.

This is kind of unrelated to where we have been saying we would go with this - but it's definately different from what past years have done, we'd stand out. However I think what makes this interesting is the sense of humour inherant in both designs - something that might be harder when combined with 300 students who are approaching this thing like it's their Sistine Chapel...
